Personalized hormones and Weight Care

You’ve tried doing everything “right.”

Eating less, Moving more, Following the advice. But something still feels off. Energy that won’t come back, weight that won’t budge, and a sense that your hormones are running the show. And maybe you’ve been told your labs are “normal.” Maybe you’ve been handed a prescription and sent on your way.

We believe you deserve more than that.

You know your body. We’re here to listen.

Hormone changes and weight struggles aren’t character flaws; they’re signals. Estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, and metabolic hormones work in intricate balance with one another, and when that balance is disrupted, the effects can show up everywhere: in your energy, your mood, your sleep, your waistline, and your sense of self.

Conventional care often addresses these concerns with a one-size-fits-all approach with a single medication, a generic diet plan, or worse, a dismissal. At Olos, we take a different path.

These aren’t problems to push through. They’re patterns worth understanding.

A Streamlined, Personalized Approach

How We Help You Heal

Our Physician-led Hormone Replacement Therapy and Medical Weight Management is designed for patients who want clear, targeted support. If you’re looking for focused hormonal care and/or medication-assisted weight management, this program is built for you.

It’s available to both women and men. And it’s led by Dr. Briana Rueda, DO, a physician who has walked this road herself.

Every care plan is tailored to you. Here’s what your program may include:

Targeted Lab Review

We order and interpret the labs that matter for your goals, like hormone panels, metabolic markers, and thyroid function, so your plan is grounded in your actual numbers, not guesswork.

Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)

Bioidentical hormone therapy to restore balance, including estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, and pellet options. We match the delivery method to your lifestyle and goals.

GLP-1 / Medication-Assisted Weight Management

Evidence-based support for sustainable weight loss. GLP-1 receptor agonists work synergistically with hormones, especially important given the documented interaction between estrogen and metabolic function.

We don’t just want you to survive your symptoms. We want you to feel like yourself again.

What You Should Know About Hormone Replacement Therapy Today

The landscape of HRT has changed significantly. In 2024, the FDA removed the longstanding black box warning on estrogen therapy, a shift that reflects decades of updated research showing that, for most healthy women, the benefits of hormone replacement far outweigh the risks when properly managed.

The result? Women who have been waiting for years are finally pursuing the hormonal support they deserve. And for many of them, pellet therapy has become the preferred delivery method.

About Hormone Pellets

Pellets are tiny, bioidentical implants. A testosterone pellet is roughly the size of a Tic Tac, and an estradiol pellet is even smaller, inserted just beneath the skin in a quick, in-office procedure. Once placed, they release a consistent, steady stream of hormone directly into the bloodstream.

Why do so many patients prefer pellets?

Steady hormone delivery (no peaks and valleys like patches or gels)

Longer duration: 3–4 months for women, 4–5 months for men

No daily application or pill to remember

Many patients report more robust, consistent symptom relief

Pellets have been used in the United States for nearly 100 years. It’s a well-established therapy being rediscovered by patients and practitioners who want more than the minimum. Want to learn more? Read our blog here.

Briana Rueda, DO, MS, ABFM, FMCP-M, FAAMM

Board-Certified Family Medicine | Fellowship-Trained in Anti-Aging & Metabolic Medicine

Dr. Rueda knows what it’s like to feel dismissed by conventional medicine. For years, she worked as a physician in fast-paced clinical settings and simultaneously struggled with her own unresolved health issues. Fatigue, weight changes, cold intolerance, brain fog. She saw specialist after specialist and accumulated a cabinet of medications, but nothing worked.

Everything changed when she found an integrative medicine physician. For the first time, she was given real answers: Hashimoto’s hypothyroidism, SIBO, cervicogenic headaches. And more importantly, a path forward. That experience transformed how she practices medicine.

“The integrative approach was holistic. Root-cause focused. Person-centered. And it just made sense to me,” she says. “I knew I could no longer practice conventional medicine in good conscience.”

Her own journey with infertility sparked a deep passion for hormone optimization. She completed advanced training in hormone replacement therapy and a Fellowship in Anti-Aging and Metabolic Medicine. She sees patients of all ages and backgrounds, offering unhurried, deeply personal care.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between pellets and other HRT delivery methods?

Pellets are one option we offer — they provide steady, long-lasting hormone release without daily application. Other delivery methods (patches, creams, oral) are also available. Dr. Rueda will help you choose based on your lifestyle, preferences, and hormone levels.

Do I need labs before my first appointment?

In most cases, we’ll order labs as part of your initial workup so we have current, relevant data to build your plan. Specific requirements will be communicated when you schedule.

Is this available to men?

Yes. Hormone imbalance and medication-assisted weight management are not exclusively women’s health concerns. Dr. Rueda sees patients of all genders.

Do you accept insurance?

Olos Medicine operates as a cash-pay practice. We’re happy to provide documentation for HSA/FSA reimbursement and can discuss pricing options during your consultation.
